A big part of my job was posting on social media, mainly Facebook and Twitter. The goal was to post educational and encouraging posts aimed at our target audience. My posts received over 50,000Â views during my time here.
Educational/News Writing
Right to Life needs to keep their followers and supporters updated and aware. As intern, I wrote multiple blog posts, editorial essays, and email updates. Sometimes National Right to Life will republish what we write.
Factsheets/educational fliers
Right to Life is a rich source for prolife resources, and these need to be updated and rechecked for accuracy. Researching, proofreading, and updated is an essential job I got to play a role in.

Gus Macker Tournament
June 16-17, 2018
Gus Macker is a 3-on-3 charity basketball tournament that has been hosted by Ludington for 27 years. Because of the longevity (a weekend-long) and beautiful location, the Ludington Gus Macker Committee and the Ludington & Scottville Chamber of Commerce was inducted into the Gus Macker Hall of Fame in 2018.
My roles:
Collect sponsor logos for shirts, banners, and website
Prepare "Gus buster bags" for refs and volunteers
Manage Facebook presence
Help supervise at event
Hand write thank yous to sponsors
Offshore Classic Fishing Tournament
July 19-25, 2018
The Ludington Offshore Classic is a week-long annual Great Lakes sports fishing tournament, boasting the distinction of being the largest freshwater salmon tournament in the U.S.

Business to Business Golf Classic

The Golf Classic is one of the largest golf outings in the area and welcomes more than 120 prominent business leaders and entrepreneurs from the Ludington & Scottville area.
My roles:
Mailing out initial donation request letters to neighboring golf clubs
following up with phone calls
